The Strokes Set Four Australia Shows for February 2027

The Strokes will return to Australia in February 2027 for four performances in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. 

The dates extend the band’s “Reality Awaits” tour, and is scheduled to begin February 13 at Brisbane Entertainment Centre. The band will then play two nights at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on February 16 and 17 before closing February 20 at Centennial Park as the headliner of the inaugural Sydney Summertime concert.

Courtney Barnett and Promiseland will join The Strokes at all four shows. Beck is also on the Sydney bill, giving the new outdoor concert series a four-act opening lineup. Promiseland is the project of Johann Rashid, who is signed to Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas’ Cult Records.

The Brisbane and Melbourne dates will be The Strokes’ first Australian headline shows since 2022. The band appeared in the country more recently at Adelaide’s Harvest Rock festival in 2025, but that performance was exclusive to the event.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Tuesday, September 29, at 1 p.m. local time. Artist, Mastercard and Vodafone presales begin Monday, September 28, at 9 a.m. local time. Secret Sounds and Live Nation presales follow at noon the same day. The presales are scheduled to end at noon Tuesday, one hour before the general sale begins. 

The Australian shows support Reality Awaits, the band’s seventh studio album and its first since 2020’s “The New Abnormal.” Produced by Rick Rubin, the record includes the singles “Going Shopping” and “Falling Out of Love.” The Strokes have also taken the album on the road in 2026, with festival appearances and headline dates across several markets.
