‘SIX’ National Tour Announces New Cast Members

“SIX: The Musical” will introduce a new lineup of queens to its “Boleyn Tour” next month, with the incoming cast scheduled to begin performances October 25 at Baltimore’s Hippodrome Theatre.

Christina Jones will portray Catherine of Aragon, alongside Brittany Smithson as Anne Boleyn and Melina Savannah Cruz as Jane Seymour. Shelby Griswold will play Anna of Cleves, Thabitha Moruthane will take on Katherine Howard, and Nina Ann Nelson will appear as Catherine Parr.

Brooke Aneece Dismuke, Anna Hertel, Carlina Parker and Abigail Sparrow complete the company as alternates.

The casting announcement marks the next chapter for a North American touring production that has collectively logged more than 2,000 performances. As of the announcement, the musical’s “Aragon” and “Boleyn” touring companies had presented 2,023 performances across North America.

Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, “SIX” brings the six wives of England’s King Henry VIII into a pop concert setting, giving each woman the microphone to recount her experience. The musical places Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr at the center of a story typically defined by their shared husband.

The production earned eight Tony Award nominations in 2022 and won two: best original score for Marlow and Moss and best costume design of a musical for Gabriella Slade.

Moss and Jamie Armitage direct the musical, with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. The design team includes Emma Bailey on sets, Slade on costumes, Tim Deiling on lighting and Paul Gatehouse on sound.

Tom Curran provides orchestrations, while Joe Beighton handles music supervision and vocal arrangements. Roberta Duchak serves as U.S. music supervisor, with casting by Peter Van Dam of The TRC Company.
